District 7475 is pleased to announce that it will sponsor two Global Scholars. Maya Wahrman sponsored by the Princeton Corridor Club (pictured left) Maya will pursue MS in Refugee and Forced Migration at the University of Oxford to equip herself with the theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and network of allies to further her career in peace and conflict resolution as it relates to refugees. Janine Furtado sponsored by the Rockaway Club (pictured right) will pursue a MA in international development at the Graduate Institute (also known as IHEID) in Geneva. She will focus her studies on the socioeconomic impacts of food, agriculture, and the environment in developing regions- all of which fit within Rotary’s economic and community development focus.
