Rotary District 7475
Global Scholarship Program
for graduate studies outside USA
 
The Rotary Foundation every year provides over 250 Global Scholarships to advance their mission of fostering international understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, education/literacy, alleviation of poverty and work on environmental issues.
 
Rotary District 7475 selects at least one student every year for the global scholarship program run by the Foundation.
 
District 7475 consists of following counties in New Jersey: Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, Sussex, Union, Warren.
 
If you live or study in any of the above counties and you would like to study abroad for graduate level courses or research projects, please read below information carefully and contact following Rotarian for additional details and guidance on how you can apply for a scholarship to pursue your dreams.

Global Scholarship for graduate level studies
 
Rotary District 7475 gives at least one scholarship of $30,000 per year  (Maximum up to 4 years) for doing graduate level courses or research projects outside USA. There are 3 main criteria:
  • The study must be in one of the 7 Areas of Focus of the Rotary International ( Details given below)
  • The student must demonstrate long term commitment to the chosen subject even after completing the studies
  • The student should have been accepted by the study institution outside the USA at the time of the interview

3. Water and Sanitation
4. Maternal and Child Health
5. Basic Education and Literacy
6. Economic and Community Development
7. Supporting the Environment
 
Deadline for Applications
 
The deadline for submitting the application to District 7475 is February 15 for the academic year starting in September. A different time table can be developed for courses beginning earlier in the year.
Global Scholarship Recipients 2024 - 2025
District 7475 is proud to introduce our 3 Global Scholars for the year 2024-25.  Thank you to District 7475 Rotarians for their generous gifts to The Rotary Foundation to make these global scholarships available to our future leaders.  Each scholarship is for $30,000 for one year of Master’s Program outside the USA and the students courses must be aligned with one of the Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus. This program requires active participation by the sponsoring Rotary Clubs in our District and the host country.
