BRANCHVILLE ROTARY REPORTS 8 NEW MEMBERS, FUNDRAISING & SERVICE PROJECTS
From Branchville RC President Ellie Benz (elb@mail.elenorabenz.com

Branchville Rotary just signed on 8 new members with approximately 8 more in process.  We inducted four of the new members at our recent Changing of the Guard Celebration.  We have our own secret membership weapon (our member Glenn Sumpman who goes around talking to everyone he meets about Rotary and invites them to join us in our service to the community).

This Rotary year, instead of doling out limited dollars to local non-profits, we are instead partnering with several of our favorites offering up our person power rather than dollars.  The concept is being well received.

At our first in person club meeting on July 9th, we will be honoring our club's Front Line Worker of the past year, a very impressive young lady.  We will be presenting her to the club and also presenting her with a substantial dinner certificate to a local restaurant.

We as a club are in full on prep mode getting ready for the Fair which is August 7 to 14.  We having been selling sandwiches and iced tea for decades and have so many repeat customers who are happy to find some non-fried food on the midway.  This year, for the first time, we are partnering with the Branchville Presbyterian Church and setting aside some space in our booth for them to sell their delicious coffee, rather than them having to set up and pay for space and drag their coffee wagon down to the fairgrounds.  It should be fun, and on each shift, we will have two of their volunteers helping out which really helps with our staffing needs.
